Our Cydonia red is named after the "Cydonia region" on Mars and is made of red Cayenne and tomato base sauce. It's made using only fresh peppers and is naturally fermented for 2 weeks for a tasty, slightly sour and salty, hot sauce with a medium heat level.
The "Cydonia region" or "face on Mars" is a region on planet Mars, discovered first in 1976 by NASA and it gained popular interest due to its formation having a humanoid appearance.
This is not just a tasty sauce as it comes packed with health benefits thanks to the natural fermentation process which helps the body to break down food and better absorb nutrients, promoting a better gut health. The sauce is then pasteurized to eliminate all bad bacteria and improve shelf life.
Our sauces are naturally fermented without added salt, sugar, fats or chemical preservatives and E numbers.
Try it on cheese toasty or on soups or steak.
